Matt Wells is a performance coach, program director, and lifelong adventurer with over a decade of experience helping people build strength, resilience, and confidence for real-world challenges.
As the Program Director at Unite Fitness Retreat and founder of Fit for Adventure Coaching, Matt has worked with hundreds of clients ranging from beginners to high-performing athletes. His approach goes beyond workouts—combining smart strength training, conditioning, mobility, and lifestyle habits to prepare clients for demanding experiences like hiking, travel, obstacle races, and long days on their feet.
Matt holds a Master’s degree in Sports Performance & Conditioning and has spent years designing evidence-based programs that improve performance while reducing injury risk. He specializes in helping people feel capable in their bodies again—whether that means conquering a mountain trail, keeping up with family on vacation, or simply moving through life without limitations.
Fit for Adventure was created for people who want their fitness to mean something. Matt’s coaching philosophy is simple: train with purpose, build durability, and develop the confidence to say yes to adventure—whenever it shows up.
